When i was a kid we had a Youth Dart league, I loved playing in it and made so many friends through it (many of them have become members) and ignited my love for the game. I would love for the next generation of kids to experience the same!
We are thinking of when school is done for the summer, on Saturday mornings from about 10am to noon starting up a Youth Dart league for kids, 18 and under who are interested and want to learn how to play and develop the skills and at the same time make new friends and memories.
But first we would like to know if this is something that has enough interest to make happen!
Sign up sheets for Volunteers for the fishing derby are up on the sports board in the Dart room, I'm excited for this event it should be a great time out and would love for this to be an annual event again like when I was a kid!
Save the date!, after decades the return of the Branch 255 Youth Fishing Derby!
Saturday May 31 (rain date June 7) from 9am till noon at Alexander Park, for kids aged 6 to 16 years old. We can have a maximum of 50-60 kids to fish.
Two sign up sheets up, one for the kids fishing and a sign up sheet for volunteers that would like to help out (volunteers would be a huge bonus) Parents are encouraged to chaperone your kids and provide rods for your children (if you don't have a rod some of us that fish maybe will be able to lend one) We will have volunteers with nets incase you catch a big one, if you need help baiting hooks/casting the line out etc.
